If I’m being honest, a few weeks ago I found myself in a slump. I didn't feel creative, I didn't feel motivated, and I started to question my purpose within ministry.
The ladies in my small group quickly reassured me that because of this ministry they have experienced so much transformation!
I needed to hear that because the enemy was trying to get me to quit, but I did not allow it.
I cannot quit because my purpose goes far beyond me. God is doing an amazing thing in my life for the benefit of others, so it will always be His will not mine!
If you’ve ever been in a slump then you know the feeling. It may feel like it's a never-ending pit that you can't get yourself out of but you will see this through and come out better on the other side.
Here are some things that helped me get out of my slump:
Remain in Prayer - Don't do things out of emotion or frustration, but out of the wisdom and guidance God has provided you with during your time in prayer.
Journal - Sometimes words aren’t enough, so allow yourself to journal your experience. Write it out, release it on paper and pray about it later.
Seek Counsel - Speak to people who can touch and agree with you. Surround yourself with a godly community.
Trust God - Trust that God has your best interest at heart.
I pray that the slump you’re in doesn’t last long. I pray that when you see the light at the end of the tunnel that God will reveal to you something amazing!
You got this!
Scripture for Meditation: Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
